Eating better, what does that mean? Eat less? Eat more? Eat fancy meals? The art of proper nutrition is to provide our body with all the substances it needs using a possibly moderate calorie content. It’s much better then to replace intaking 2000kcal of sweets and highly processed products with 2000kcal of wholesome products full of vitamins, fiber, and minerals. Of course, if we eat less processed products, the better for our health, figure and well-being.
5 steps for better eating
1 STEP - avoid eating highly processed products, try to eat fresh products as little as possible touched by the influence of industrial processing. This will provide a much greater feeling of satiety and more nutritional value to your diet.
2 STEP - if you are working out you need to make sure that you include a source of protein in most of your meals. It is a building block for the muscle system of the body, and without sufficient intake of this macronutrient, it is difficult to properly regenerate after exercise. Protein speeds up metabolism and helps in reducing excess body fat.
3 STEP - eat regularly, there is no better eating regime for an active person than eating throughout the day at specific intervals. You don't have to eat with a watch in your hand, but it's a good idea to have 4-5 meals already prepared, which will be distributed more or less evenly throughout the day.
4 STEP - psychological aspect, food MUST taste good. You can't eat food you don't want to eat. This never works out in the long run. Take the extra time to add some homemade sauce, your favorite vegetables, or spices to your meal. Anything without excess sugars that will make eating a meal more of a pleasure than a sad necessity.
5 STEP - avoid eating an excess of anti-nutritional products (such as saponins, tannins, phytic acid, lectins, protease inhibitors, amylase inhibitors, or goitrogens) or act in such a way as to nullify their negative effects.
