Bladderwrack (lat. Fucus vesiculosus) - sea algae containing 15% mineral salts containing trace amounts of iodine, bromine and sodium, polysaccharides and vitamin B. The active medicinal raw material is thallus algae (Fucus vesiculosus). Preparations of bladderwrack provides a better metabolism, have laxative properties. They are used especially in sets of micronutrients for the elderly and convalescents, they have anti-atherosclerotic effects. Iodine content allows the treatment of hypothyroidism, resulting of the lack of iodine.
