It is produced without the use of solvents; it does not contain any chemical carriers, it is free of sugar, sweeteners, aromas and dyes. It is the only cranberry extract available on the market that is made using the patented Bio-Shield® technology, thanks to which the bioactive components contained in the fruit are protected from damage in the acidic environment of the stomach.
Cran-Max® has been the subject of numerous clinical trials that confirmed its positive effect on the health of the urinary tract. Researchers have proved that the pharmacological activity of cranberry results from the extremely high content of proanthocyanidins (PAC). These compounds reduce the adhesion of pathogenic bacteria to the mucous membrane of the urinary tract cells. They directly affect capillary cell structures (the so-called fimbriae) and reduce their adhesion. Bacteria that can not adhere to cell walls are eliminated from the body without causing any harm.
Cran-Max® originally comes in the form of powder, which can be added to beverages and functional foods. However, the formula is most often available in the form of capsules.
