Low value protein does not have all amino acids necessary for intra-corporeal protein synthesis, which in turn disrupts the process of growth and nitrogen balance. To this group of proteins belong proteins of plant origin (e.g. Wheat protein), except for soy protein, having a high nutritional value. Due to the lack of essential amino acids, they are used only to supplement the high-protein nutrients or combined to complement all the amino acids, which are necessary for the synthesis.
