Woolly foxglove (Digitalis lanata) is a plant occurring in Central and Western Europe (in Poland in the Silesian Beskid and in the Sudetenland under the full protection), grown on special plantations for medicinal purposes. Medicinal raw material is a leaf of foxglove woolly - Folium Digitalis lanatae, contains flavonoids, glycosides (including cardiac glycosides), steroidal saponins, mucus and minerals. Used only with a prescription for heart diseases (strengthens the heart muscle, increases heart contractility, limits arrhythmia), in specific doses. Contraindication to use of higher doses than prescribed by your doctor and the interruption of use in case of feeling any side effects (e.g. Extra heart beats, palpitations).
